The Dead Science (Seattle - USA)
I Dead Science vantano già un serie di pubblicazioni per Absolutely Kosher, rinomato marchio che nell’ultimo decennio ha saputo rinverdire i fasti dell’indie rock made in USA. Proprio da quell’humus nasce la musica dei Dead Science, oggi maggiormente indottrinata e presumibilmente più affine a certe pratiche rock sperimentali e pop sinfoniche. Esteti della canzone e dell’arrangiamento sublime, intuito per melodie sbilenche e gusto tutto particolare per gli arrangiamenti. Sono in un’ipotetica lega con Xiu Xiu e Dirty Projectors, altri autori e formazioni che dal basso hanno rinnovato la tradizione pop a stelle e strisce, con forti iniezioni di drammaticità e intelletto superiore. La loro musica è fatta di sincopi, soluzioni astratte, cambi d’atmosfera impertinenti. Una giostra emotiva, alla quale partecipano numi tutelari del rock più anticonformista.
